The Oasis team is looking forward to 2010. Following the addition of Oasis Floripa and Oasis Punta in 2009 we are looking to new exciting destinations. Oasis Rio has launched in April and will be followed by Oasis São Paulo in June. The two Brazilian cities have a huge amount to offer visitors and will exceed any Oasis traveler’s expectations.

Beautiful, intellectual, vibrant, sports-loving, cultural, romantic, modern, sophisticated, self-confident and professional: São Paulo is all of these and more. No single adjective can accurately describe this world-renowned megacity which has established itself, among other things, as South America’s business hub. São Paulo is also seen as a gastronomic capital thanks to the cosmopolitan mix of cultures that live in the city – it boasts the only South American restaurants to feature on the world’s top 100 restaurant list.

The high-speed city has a very exciting nightlife, a strong artistic flare, many cultural attractions, plenty of shows, sporting events and is exceptional for shopping with impressive luxury shopping malls. Neighbourhoods like Jardins, Vila Madalena and Itaim Bibi will most likely amaze you with the wide variety of all that São Paulo has to offer. São Paulo is an important business destination in part thanks to the number of international companies that have established their regional offices on the Paulista Avenue. If you come to São Paulo for business be sure to stay for the weekend and explore the city.

Later in 2010 Oasis Colombia will be added to the map with properties in Bogota, Cartagena, Medellin and Santa Marta featured. Colombia has been repeatedly highlighted as one of the Top 10 vacation destinations for this year and one can understand why. The country boasts stunning Caribbean coast, astonishing areas of Amazon rainforest and undulating Andean mountains, sleek modern cities and charming colonial towns. There is a lot to keep you busy if you are looking to be kept busy and plenty to enjoy if you simply want to sit back and kick back with a cup of local coffee or a splash of aguardiente.

Highlights in the Colombian calendar include the Latin American Theatre Festival held over Easter in Bogota, Medellin’s Jazz Festival in August and November’s Miss Colombia beauty pageant in Cartagena. For those keen to trek the best time to visit is between December and March or during July and August. Whale watching trips happen between July and October while super scuba diving attracts visitors all-year-round. Oasis look forward to welcoming guests to Colombia soon.

As well as launching new Oasis sites we are working on extending the scope of our current destinations. Oasis Buenos Aires will include some incomparable properties around Argentina in Bariloche, Mendoza, Salta and the countryside around Buenos Aires. Oasis Punta will introduce houses and apartments in Montevideo, La Pedrera, Colonia and Carmelo. For Oasis Floripa we will work with properties in new areas of the island, like Lagoa da Conceiçao as well as extending to areas such as Praia do Rosa. As our new sites for Brazil are launched, Oasis will feature properties in other fantastic Brazilian destinations like Buzios and Paraty.
